Athlete Registration / Information
You will register before the event begins either on Friday evening from 6:30 pm-8:00pm, or on the morning of the competition starting at 7am, and this is where you will be able to pick up your competition shirt and your gifts from our sponsors including: GNC, Latitude Gear RX, Born Primitive, Compete Everyday, Goat Tape, RX Bar, Fuel for Fire, Reebok, and Eddie Gilstrap Motors. There will be an athlete briefing before the event begins immediately following the completion of the registration at 8am. The top 3 female and male finishers will receive prizes, as well as the top finishers in both the male and female masters divisions.
*For WOD 1, if you know that you will be needing more than 240 (males) 230 (females) pounds, alert the volunteer when you register so we will be prepared when your heat goes*
You have been assigned heats, lanes and judges for each WOD throughout the day so that you can plan your warm-ups and day accordingly.
You can find that information here: https://docs.google.com/a/fourbarrelcrossfit.com/spreadsheets/d/1wqqusiis2rrRXQjwHsDXSFIIvL4g5J4gNVhsTOy4MPc/edit#gid=1799583901
There will be a warm-up area for your convenience on the side of our building. There will be equipment for you to use during your warm-up, but if you have specific warm-up needs, you will need to bring those items with you.
You will need to be in the warm-up area 10 minutes before your heat begins to check-in and be ready for your heat to begin. You will be given a score sheet before each WOD that you will give to your judge in your lane, and your judge will give that scoresheet to the head judge at the end of each WOD to be immediately calculated into our live scoring format. You will be able to take this scoresheet with you at the end of the day.
Volunteer Arrival and Information
You will need to arrive at the venue by 7:30 on the day of the competition to receive your “Judge” T-shirt ( if you registered early enough to receive one). There will be a volunteer briefing immediately following the athlete briefing at 8:15 AM. We will quickly go over your responsibilities as a judge, but we are expecting you to review the movement standard WOD videos before your arrival so that you are very familiar with the workouts. If you have asked not to be a judge for the day, you will need to check in with Lindy when you arrive to be given your volunteer responsibility for the day.
If you have agreed to be a judge, you have been assigned lanes, athletes and times that you will be judging throughout the day.
