Winter Challenge

Transform your body and upgrade your performance in 2017 with the Four Barrel Winter Challenge! Over the next 3 months we’ll be providing you with the nutrition, training, knowledge, and motivation to kickstart your best year yet!

Details for the challenge are below. Registration sheets will be in the lobby at Four Barrel New Albany and Four Barrel East!

Outline:

  • Registration: Dec 27th – Jan 10th
  • Nutrition Seminar Kickoff – 4B East, Jan 7th @ 10:15am, 4B New Albany, Jan 8th @ 2:15pm
  • Focus – Overhauling your diet, training, and lifestyle
  • Judged on body composition improvement, performance improvement, participation, and adherence to challenge guidelines
  • Two nutrition paths: (1) Real Food (2) Renaissance Periodization
  • Prizes for 1st place male & female in New Albany & Louisville
  • Entry: $25

Timeline:

December 27th – January 10th: Challenge Sign-up & Starting Photos
Sign-up for the challenge in the lobby at Four Barrel New Albany or Four Barrel Louisville. Then submit your before pictures to staff@4bfit.com. Pictures must be submitted no later than 1/10/16. Read the picture submission guidelines here.

January 3rd: Challenge WOD
The challenge WOD will be completed in all class times this day. If you’re not able to make it during a class time, you can complete the challenge during open gym anytime before 1/10/16.

January 7th & 8th: Nutrition Seminars
The Challenge Nutrition Seminar will be held in Louisville on 1/7/16 @ 10:15am. The Challenge Nutrition Seminar will be held in New Albany on 1/8/16 at 2:15pm. Attendance is not mandatory to compete in challenge, but it is encouraged!

January 7th: Natural Health Fair (*NEW*)
Immediately following the nutrition seminar on 1/7 at 4B East, we’ll be the host location for the Natural and Holistic Health Fair. There will be several local health-focused businesses ranging from chiropractors to float tank centers. Come get more information on how to live your healthiest year yet, and enter for prizes from these vendors.

January 1st – April 1st: Challenge
Various mini-challenges and tracking updates will be pushed out via Four Barrel social media over this time to help keep you engaged and motivated!

March 28th: Challenge WOD Retest
Final Challenge WOD will be completed in all class times. If you’re not able to make it during a class time, you can complete the challenge during open gym anytime before 4/2/16.

March 26th – April 2nd: Final/After Pictures
Timeframe to submit your final/after pictures.

April 7th
Challenge Winners Announced!

Diet Options
If you’re more interested in general health and fat loss, we suggest taking the “Real Food / Fat Loss” option. We’ll provide all of the details for this path at our nutrition seminars on 1/9 & 1/10.

If you’re more interested in performance or weighing/measuring, we’ve partnered with Renaissance Periodization (RP) for this option.
